Hee... I went to Ubin again, 2nd time this week... And soon to be 3rd time in one week come this weekend. Anyway, Ubin this time was with Yurong, Biru and Weiting, cos I wanted to recce if our class outings or cell group outings could be held there...

Hmm, let's see, first I met Biru under her block and she was late for 3 minutes, then we went over the Bishan MRT and Weiting was late for 10 minutes, then we travelled down to Bedok MRT and Yurong was late for 15 minutes... Haha, I guess we are all horribly un-punctual. Then we took a bus down to the Changi Village Jetty, took a bumboat there with Biru constantly pestering us to take photos, had lunch which was done by ordering four different dishes and separating them into 4 parts so that we can all share... And I think we fed the cats more than what we ate ourselves... Hee... After lunch we each rented a bike and cycled round the whole of Ubin. Yup, we were dying by the time we met our first uphill, then we cycled into this dilapidated house and then this graveyard, then we went all the way uphill and into the forests and got bitten by this huge swarm of mosquitoes and we ran like hell with the mosquitoes giving chase... After that horrifying incident was slightly more peaceful. We cycled on the main road, then we saw another forest trail and Yurong wanted to be "adventurous" as "we had nothing to lose", so we cycled in with lots of tree root bumps and twigs and branches, and WE REACHED A DEAD END!! It was sooo smart of us, so we were all laughing at our stupidity and had to backtrack out of the trail... Okay, then we went into the villages, got a break at one of the village houses and was playing with the little boy who was fascinated with this bug crawling on the road. Then cycled out again back to where we started, took a different trail and ended up at the beach-side and rested again and took photos of our shadows in the sand, then cycled up to the Secret Garden and got splashed with mudpools and yucky gooey stuff... And after that we decided we had enough and went back to return our bikes, drank coconuts and decided that the Thai ones are much better than the local ones, then returned back to mainland...

What a day... Hee...

Wouldn't it be nice...

Postie
Wouldn't it be nice if the world was Cadbury
Chocolate roads and trees 'n' birds 'n' bees
Delivering all kinds of letters daily
Every kind of purple parcel too
And if the dog did try and grab a mouth full
You can bite him back, he'll taste delightful
Wouldn't it be nice!

Surfer
Wouldn't it be nice if the world was Cadbury
You could surf inside a chocolate tube
Ride your board across the wave forever
Get wiped out and never get a bruise.
And if a shark came up and tried to bite you
You could say "I'm chocolate I invite you"
Wouldn't it be nice!

Soccer
Wouldn't it be nice if the world was Cadbury
You could be a soccer super star
The referee would blow his chocolate whistle
A shot on goal would even break the bar
And if you went and scored the winner
You'd win the cup and eat it for your dinner
Wouldn't it be nice!

Car
Wouldn't it be nice if the world was Cadbury,
Driving in the car would be a tasty treat,
Changing gear would soon become a problem,
Cadbury Dairy Milk is so good to eat.
And when you arrive at your destination,
You'll be greeted with an exclamation,
Wouldn't it be nice!

MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS JAMMED!! SO NOW I'M PERMANENTLY STUCK IN THIS BIG LETTER FORMAT, UNLESS I CHOOSE TO TYPE WITH ONE FINGER ON THE 'SHIFT' KEY like this, which is very cumbersome... SO FOR MY CONVENIENCE, IT SHALL REMAIN LIKE THIS, AND PLEASE DON'T THINK I'M SHOUTING AT YOU OR ANYTHING COS I'M NOT... HEE...

ANYWAY I WAS AT PULAU UBIN TODAY WITH HSIU TZU AND SHU FEN AND HUI MIN AND JUNYING... WE WERE SUPPOSED TO HELP PREPARE EQUIPMENT FOR THE K3 CAMP NEXT WEEKEND... FOR THE UNINITIATED, THE K3 CAMP IS THIS KIDS CAMP AT UBIN NEXT WEEKEND WHICH GREENLINK IS SUPPOSED TO HELP OUT... WE MET GRANT AND GRACE, THEN BASICALLY SHIFTED EQUIPMENT AND CLEANING THEM THE WHOLE MORNING... AFTER THAT WE WERE SITTING DOWN HAVING LUNCH AT UBIN, LISTENING TO GRANT TALK ABOUT PLOTTING AGAINST MRS CHENG BY TRACKING DOWN HER HISTORY ETC ETC... THEN HSIU TZU AND SHU FEN WERE MASS-DANCING IN THE STRONG WINDS, THEN THE RAIN CAME AND BOY IT LOOKED LIKE A TWISTER THAT WAS ABOUT TO STRIKE UBIN... AND THEN WE SHUFFLED AROUND SOME MORE AND WENT HOME AFTER THAT AND NOW HERE I AM...

CAN'T WAIT FOR K3 CAMP! AND I WANNA GO UBIN AGAIN...

OH, I'M IN GREENLINK EXCO! IT'S CONFIRMED ALREADY, BUT WE WON'T KNOW THE POSITIONS THAT WE'RE ALLOCATED TO YET... HAHA... THE OLD EXCO WANTS TO MAKE A WISE DECISION AND CONSULT THE TEACHERS ETC, SO IT'LL BE A WHILE BEFORE I KNOW MY EXACT POSITION...

OKAY I THINK THIS POST IS A BIT SHUFFLE... HEE...

Morning!! Okay, I think I'm a bit too eager for school... But it's alright, I have to wake up anyway, NOW IS THE BEST TIME... Muahaha...

Yup, more about yesterday which was Vesak Day holiday... Since I guess it's the only thing I can talk about right now... I spent most of my yesterday at town... Was supposed to wake up in time to meet Atiqah at 1030, but I overslept and ended up delaying all the way to 1115... Oh, this superbly cute guy sat beside me on the bus!! He's very VERY cute, and the best thing was he got down at the same bus-stop where I was supposed to meet Atiqah. And I still can't name the bus-stop; I only know it as the "two lions" bus-stop... We decided to go to MacDonald's to eat breakfast/lunch, whichever is applicable, then Atiqah's friend Madeline joined us. Oh my gosh, she's like the most random and shuffle girl I ever met in my whole life... Okay, Hsiu Tzu you're not the most shuffle, Madeline is... She's just switching subjects all the time and ranting and suddenly the subject will change again. 'Twas a nightmare... Anyway after trying to study for another 2~3 hours, we gave up and went shopping instead... I was looking for a present for Cheryn's mum's birthday, which was on Sunday, and the initial thought was to get her a mug since we were mugging... But all the mugs were too expensive, then went from Takashimaya to Heeren (where Madeline spent 30 minutes choosing 4 different hair-band colours) to Robinsons. Finally I got this Victorian Postbox teapot... And after that I went over to Cheryn's house to pass her mum the teapot... Ah ha...

Oh, I ate Happy Meal!! Got this Nakamura-kun roller stamper... I think I'm like going nuts over it... I want more Happy Meals!!

A lot of things happened this weekend... A lot a lot... Lemme start slowly... Hee... (:

Okay, Friday was a good day... I skipped morning assembly cos I was lazy to go all the way up to the Assembly Square, stayed in class to finish up my Econs TYS questions, then the Science idiots arranged our CA6 seating plan AGAIN... Despite the "No Acceleration/Motion/Velocity" notice that Kai Jie put on the whiteboard... Anyway, I ended up stoning in Econs tutorial, then I was thinking of how hip Mr Dio is as a Lit teacher during his Ted Hughes analysis... Okay, then PE was Captain's Ball, jumping around and acting cocky/cute/crazy at the opposing team... Oh, during Human Geog we got Qiling singing the "planting rice is never fun" song... Ah ha... Then during our break we found a ball by the grandstand and played Captain's Ball again, this time more hilariously because Janvin is falling down everywhere and I got the chance to act cocky/cute/crazy again!! Ah ha... During Maths I was doodling the CA6 ceiling pattern on my tutorial worksheet... Lots of circles and dots and dunno what... After school I went to town with Atiqah (again) and danced around and irritated her with my lameness and talking rubbish... By night-time at youth service I was too drained from dancing and rubbishing about. We played games that night, my cell group got 2nd!! I'm so so proud of them... And we got Choc-Wanilla ice-cream and did the "3 cheers" like 5 or 6 times... And our straw structure was the tallest!! Wahoo...

Okay, Saturday (yesterday) was spent at the Kranji area... I went to Lim Chu Kang farms as part of a Greenlink outing, and there were about 10 of us... Got onto the bus and it turned at so many turns that I thought we were hopelessly lost... Anyway, we ended up at the cow farm first... And it so happened they were feeding the cows with this flour thingy and it smelled so bad that Huiling puked... But for most of us we were more interested in the cows than the smell... Hee... Then we took a long long walk up the road to get to the goat farm. Along the way we spotted a common green snake on a tree, then later we spotted a huge lizard basking on a rock, which Jun Ying caught with his bare hands... Yup, the goat farm was much much cleaner than the cow farm, and it won some cleanliness standard award or something... We watched them milk the goats with this suction device, then went into the barns to interact with the goats... They are all baby lambs, and those cute cute ones that the children would love to play with and the girls would swoon over... Okay, here's the record: Hsiu Tzu is a nubian goat because they make a "distinctive complaining sound"... And we played with every single goat, I let them sniff my hand and lick my palm, then I pat it on their head/neck... After the goat farm was the frog farm. The bullfrogs were constantly croaking and looking as though they were about to explode, and then they'll hop around and swim frog-legged style... Hee...

And today? My 6-year-old cousin came over, then both my aunts too... I wanted to do homework, but it's impossible when my cousin is hyperactive. Yup, then went out for dinner and that was basically it...

Note: I left out some details which are deemed personal and those kind of information that are "for me to know and for you to find out"... They're not essential to the main story anyway... (:

And, I read your entry. Every word of it. I can't express my appreciation for your trust, but I want to let you know that I'm always here... Take your time, we are all here to help, support and protect...

God, I pray for strength, and may I never break that precious little heart...

Oooohaaaaah.... shiny! You probably have an incredibly stable and
well-maintained group of friends... that probably also don't get out
much either. You're not one to get bogged down by a problem. Of course,
I'm basing this upon Chromium's ultra-low water-exchange constant and
it's corrosion-resistant properties, and I wouldn't be too surprised if
the analogy doesn't even apply.

Whoo! My GP tutor is officially Ms Sharon Phua!! I can't describe my feelings at this moment. I've heard enough stories about her. All my seniors told me to "keep away from her as far as possible"... Yar right, try "keep away from her as far as possible" in every GP tutorial... First thing she came into class on Wednesday, she just brisked past the attendance, got us to reflect on what we've learnt in GP so far, then basically set down the RULES... Frankly speaking, I can't remember learning anything in GP during the whole term. We were just slacking our guts out with the relief tutor, who was equally as slack as we were... And all of a sudden you put a class of slackers with a strict, no-nonsense disciplinarian, what will you get???

But for all that horror and terror that we associated her with, she's quite fine in class actually. Of course, this is based on the assumption that she doesn't scream at us for the remaining of the year... Quite impossible... Yup, but no doubt we'll finally have a proper GP tutor now. Today was double periods of GP, one hour and forty minutes! And in that one hour and forty minutes, I learnt GP cognition skills that was equivalent to the five months of GP lessons that I've been attending. YES, MS SHARON PHUA IS AWESOME. I don't know how she did it. But that was the only GP lesson that I probably got the most out of it... I'll much rather look past the demandings and disciplines if that meant a distinction in GP...

Other than that, my life's pretty much peaceful at the moment. Had Sports Day yesterday, and my class was just sitting stoically watching all the races and cheering half-heartedly with purple poms-poms... Aerius got 3rd, which was kinda disappointing cos we did quite well...

God has been great. If you choose to live a life for Him and trust in His plans for you, He'll guide you along the journey...

And for the disturbing facts... I hate to think about it, but sadly it's becoming more and more true. I think I know more girls than guys in NJ. I think maybe I'm really naggy. And I think I'm really rubbishy and lame.

And most of all, I wish too that you're here by my side now...

Wahoo! I just came back home... Today was College Day at NJ, and the date falls so nicely that it was the celebration dinner after the 40 Days of Purpose as well... Anyway, the main gist was that I went for College Day first to sell chicken fillets, then rushed back to corps for the final parts of the celebration dinner...

Okay, here's the details...

I'm a pig today. I woke up at 10 am today, and was supposed to meet Rhoda at Jurong East to buy the oil for the frying of the chicken... Oh, for College Day my class sold fried chicken fillets cut into small cubes... Yup, I was just about to head for Jurong East when Rhoda said don't need to already. Might as well, it saved me the trouble... Then I went straight to school instead, went around with Amy to get a PVC pole that we stole from the hockey people, then the two of us went to Coronation Plaza to buy disposable gloves and tongs. After that was just plain crazy... I spent my time marinating chicken fillets for the WHOLE EVENING... We started at 5 pm, then I didn't get my break till 7 pm... The whole time I was just pouring frying seasoning into the tray, grab a piece of chicken, slap it in the powder and trying hard not to sneeze, coat it entirely with the seasoning, then dump it into the next tray for the eggs and breadcrumbs before frying. It wasn't as bad as it seemed, cos I was having fun by being totally lame and random (shuffle) and being a total idiot and acting cute in front of Sheng De's/Amy's camera(s). Then we were still marinating and frying at 8 pm, and everyone was just so tired and sick of looking at the poor chickens. Oh, Mr Leong helped a bit to fry/marinate. What, THREE SOLID HOURS OF MARINATE ON MY FINGERS!! But the effort was well-worth it, cos everyone enjoyed themselves and we've sold only half of our chickens but still made a profit (I think)... The class spirit was awesome!!

After we cleared up I went to corps for the celebration dinner... Oh, Weiting and Dai Xuan came back too... Yup, ate a little bit of food from the buffet dinner, sat down with my cell group and acted cute AGAIN... Now I think I'm so good at acting cute that I don't need to act anymore. Hee hee... Anyway, my cell group were joint-first in the games! Too bad I wasn't part of it as I wasn't there yet, but I'm still proud of them... The cell group spirit was awesome!!

What happened after celebration dinner? Oh well, let's just keep it a secret between me and you. Hmm, it did rained VERY HEAVILY, showers of love and blessings... What more can I say??

Hi Peiling, if you're reading this... The blog is going to take a longer time than expected. I don't have the time, but I'll promise to set it up and running by June holidays. Or if I get to overthrow you, whichever comes first... HAHAHA... And you never buy chickens from me!!

Okay, that's a rather long entry. I'm going to sleep. Good night people... [O.o]zz

Hmm... The Indian coral tree that my Principal planted during the Earth Week is officially dead and withered now. Well, when we first planted it there were still like 10 leaves on the tree sapling, but 3 weeks later, all that's left is a stump with no leaves left... Well, Hsiu Tzu and me went down to Thomson today to get a replacement for the tree. Then I was whining and complaining and acting weird and everything to poor Hsiu Tzu, who had to endure all my nonsense... Haha... And we were walking from Goodwood Florist to FarEastFlora to Hawaii Landscape to goodness knows where, and none of them stock any Indian corals because it's a seasonal tree and it wasn't the season!! Bah, then the stupid thing was that none of them had any tree saplings, so in the end we bought this curry plant and we told Huiling that it was a "tree"... Hee... Then we had to lug the pot and plant all the way back to NJ, watched the Angklung Ensemble practiced for College Day, then went around the school hopping around and shuffling about... Haha, Hsiu Tzu is my new good friend in Greenlink... (:

Was checking my mail... "Q: Who do you miss most right now? A: Monster..." Oh gosh... Thank you thank you... I'm thinking a lot about you too... (:

Bweh... I'm very very very tired... All I want right now is my bed and fall into a deep sleep... Sleep sleep sleep... ZZZZzzzzzz...

Saturday, 7 May 2005

Just came home from Corps... It's the 2nd last week of 40 Days of Purpose for the small groups, and I guess my cell group really bonded extremely well with each other... Somehow I never really got that sense of satisfaction when I was still a cell member. Now that I'm leading the cell and initiating everything, there's this fulfilment and joy that comes from watching your group grow in maturity... Love you people... (:

Okay, we're doing Ministry this week, and last Sunday was Ministry Fair... Well, part of the discussion questions this week was to say something good about a particular person of the cell group, sort of like revealing what they're good at and to also as a form of bonding... Well, we had fun praising (and dissing) each other, I don't think anybody mind... Hee hee... But all of them said I was naggy and woman!! Hmph! I'm not naggy, and neither am I woman... Okay, self-denial... I think I'm a bit naggy, and just a teeny weeny bit woman... Whatever, I still think I'm not naggy and woman...

Wednesday, 4 May 2005

Oh my crap... It's only Wednesday and I'm already so brain-dead from too much school... I think I'm seriously wasting all my time at tutorials. I have absolutely no time to do those Maths tutorials, and all the homework seems to pile on top of each other every week. As of speaking now, I still have 2 Lit worksheets undone, a GP essay due tomorrow, tutorials since Mathematical Induction and my PI draft to be done. Oh man, how I DETEST Project Work... It's simply the bane of my life. I don't see the point in it, and I don't have the time and energy to do it. BAARRRGGGHHHH...

Andrew Tay from the Nature Society came down to NJ this afternoon for the ladscaping of the garden. He's very professional, gave us a lot of tips and hints, and it's evident that he knows his greens. Looks like a big project going underway for that plot of land. And I highly suspect myself to be very involved in that entire landscaping of the garden... Sigh...

Okay, at least one thing good is that 05A01's constituent are a bunch of GREAT PEOPLE!! Really truthfully honestly... Sometimes I wish there were more guys in the class, but the female gender is plain awesome... Every lecture or tutorial or lunch breaks, I find myself the only guy among 6~7 girls. Haha...

And I missed you a lot... Need you by my side...

Found these pictures from Bizarro.com, which just totally explains my cause for being animal-friendly...
