Okay, I'm very tired. Got tonnes of homework to do over the weekend. I just realised that I haven't been doing all my tutorials and assignments... I mean, yes, I only realised it yesterday, and I've not touched any tutorials for at least 3 weeks already... And this whole week all 3 Lit teachers were on course, so all our Lit lessons and lectures were free, but of course there's a lot of homework given. And add those to the Maths homework that I still owe, so I've got a lot to catch up.
3 tests this week. First time since 6 or 7 months... I mean, I kinda miss the old days of studying for my O's. In the past it's normal to have at least 5 to 6 tests crammed in one week, now it's only 3 tests and I'm crumbling from the pressure... But they're okay I guess... I got 14 of 20 for Econs MCQ, then Maths wasn't as bad as it seemed to be...
Greenlink is NOT a slack CCA. Anybody who says so ought to be smacked. Really. After all those time spent planning the Earth Week campaign, getting proposals thrown back at you, scripts rejected, rehearsals, preparations, balloons, ribbons, and a whole lot of other stuff. WHOO... Earth Week was officially over yesterday. The opening ceremony was AWESOME, then I spent all my lunch hours selling SPCA merchandise and 2nd-hand books... One good thing was I gained instant recognition from the pub-stunt and the SPCA/2nd-hand books selling. Everybody I meet in NJ now know me as "the guy from greenlink"... Okie, lame... After Earth Week is all the green competitions, then I'm co-IC with Peiling for the landscaping of the garden... Hee, I thought I can rest a bit after Earth Week, but apparently not.
Went for old 05A01 class outing on Wednesday. I miss them A LOT A LOT... There's just some things that are incomparable to these bunch of special people... Had dinner and talked rubbish and poked fun at each other and basically just caught up with things with each other...
The new class of 05A01 is awesome too. I was in a lousily bad mood on Thursday, snapped at Shi En in the morning, and then sulked my way through the whole day... What really touched me was the concern from everyone and anyone, trying to cheer me up and everything... Thanks, you guys really light up my world...
And, thank you for putting up with my tiredness and grumpiness and craziness... Hee... Save the orang-utans...
And that's basically it for now... I'm tired and lazy... Hee hee... (:

I'm extremely busy this week. Greenlink meetings practically everyday, and it doesn't end till about 7pm in the evening. Everyday I reach home so tired and dump that I don't feel like doing anything else... I think I'm in a permanently grumpy mood... And I'm sick. Caught a flu bug from Amy, then I started coughing again as well... Wednesday was council election speeches, sat in the hall to listen through every elect (about 100 of them)... Friday was the only day that I didn't have Greenlink, so I slacked around with Atiqah and Jaslyn and goodness knows who... Went to watch the tennis match (NJ won CJ 4-1), then went to the library to cast in my votes for the council elects...
40 days of purpose is pretty good so far... My cell group is superb, we went fo breakfast this morning before service, and everyone is happy with each other (I think)... And we did this "passing sheets of paper round to write good things about the person" thingy, then Pei Ying is going to be my spiritual partner for the rest of the 40 days and Andre is hilarious and co-cell leading with Biru is quite fun actually....
I need sleep... And thanks for the Strepsils... I think the coughing stopped...

Hi I'm in school now... Waiting for Greenlink to start, got another hour to go... I've been waiting since 1230, and it doesn't begin till 1630... There's Atiqah and Amy beside me now, apparently slacking as I am. Think I'm wasting my time here... Wasting like 240 minutes of my life, or 14400 seconds... Okay, I'm going nuts. I want green tea. And I got 20 odd people to vote into council, but the problem is each person is only given 12. Hmm... Oppotunity costs is going to be high.
Ms Koh said our Human Geog report on India looked impressive on first glance... At least it justified the 3 plus plus hours spent on the computer yesterday...
Hung this big tag round my neck that says Pick Khairi because I'm advertising for his council application. Think I look stupid, cos everywhere I go people stares at me like I'm some monster...

I need more time. There's tonnes of things to be done. Greenlink and Earth Week is sucking a lot of time. 40 Days of Purpose leading is a bit stressful. Homework not done. PW rubbish. Hello Kitty. Nutseed. Trying to bond with my new classmates. Trying to squeeze time for my family. And trying to keep in touch with friends. And trying to do this, do that... I need to prioritize...
A bit impatient lately, but trying very hard not to blow up and explode. But I can feel myself swelling up like a balloon though...
I'm still wishing for my green tea to be pink... Nobody knows how to do it...

Put my ez-link card through some serious tapping today... Practically the whole afternoon for me was hopping from one bus to another. Okay, let me try and narrate the entire sequence... Morning as usual was bus 74 to NJ, met Han Xiang on the bus. Then after school, I went down to Trinity's Manna bookstore on bus 74 to get some stuff, then I took 852 all the way to opposite Whitley because I wanted to go to Concourse. Met Qi Ling (what a flirt... Haha...) and her friend Hong Keow on the bus, then I took bus 54 all the way to CHIJ TP just to change to bus 980, which goes all the way to Concourse. I bought the stuff required for Greenlink's Earth Week launch, cost me a cool $20, but it's going to be a rebate from Greenlink funds... Then I took bus 980 back home, and boy, I hate Beach Road and North Bridge Road... Was caught in the jam, and what was worse was that each time the bus moved 50 metres, it'll be stopped by a traffic light... There were so many traffic lights at every junction, and they all like to turn red at the same time. I stopped opposite Novena MRT to change to bus 54 (again), the whole bus trip was very crowded, met David Chan on the bus along the way...
Okay, I calculated... 7 bus trips altogether... I'm going to go nuts over buses, like Ebenizer...

I've been extremely busy and tired the past week and this week so far... Last Friday was the first small group meeting for 40 Days of Purpose, and Biru so nicely chose a good time to catch a fever on that day, so I had to lead alone (with a little bit of Ben's help)... And what was worse was the night before I got into a super moody mood, flared up at people... Terrible...
Then on Saturday morning I had to drag myself down to Botanical Gardens because Greenlink is in the midst of a camp and BG was the venue for our fashio parade... Lugged several empty cans, all the arty stuff like paint, had an hour to design a costume out of all those recycled materials... Sabrina very kindly "volunteered" to be our model; tied this white cloth that was smudged with paint around her, there's a chain of cans as a scarf, a newspaper hat with lots of cut-out images from the BG pamphlets... Yup, the end result is a very cute and Indian-looking Sab... Haha, and of course we won... We're the Art and Publicity committee after all...
I don't know, I think maybe I'm indeed losing my patience over a lot of things... The homework load, left undone, just piles up continuously, and Project Work is probably going to take up a lot of time, then I still need to set time for quiet time, and there's this rubbish immersion thingy with Taiwan...
A01 finally had their first outing... Monday night was dinner at KAP Mac's...
Oh, did I mention I pass my NAPFA?? Woohoo! I passed my standing broad jump on the dot. 206cm was required to pass, and I did that on the mark. I think it's the first time since primary school NAPFA, can't remember... Got 6 for pull-ups, 10.3s for shuttle run, 58 (personal best... Muahaha) for sit-ups, 30-something for sit-and-reach... So basically I got C and above in most stations except broad jump... BUT I PASSED!! Yea, and 2.4km is coming soon...

I wish I had an unlimited supply of green tea... Must be the Pokka jasmine one... But I wish that green tea is pink in colour, but that would mean it would have to be called "pink tea". I want the name to stay "green tea" except that the liquid must be pink... Can it be "pink green tea"? Or should it be "green tea that is pink"?? Hmm...

Hmm... School is good so far. I'm integrating well with my new classmates, there's a Chok Tong and a Hsien Loong somewhere, cos these two girls "renamed" themselves so that the three of us can form a political party in our class, mainly because I'm Kuan Yew... Yar, I know it's lame... But it's this kind of silly jokes that draw you together as a class... The bonding times, the newly built foundations of friendship... Oh, Wednesdays are designated PINK SOCKS DAY!! Muaha, there's like 3 or 4 other girls in class who are crazy over pink too... Pink heaven...
Went to Swensen's yesterday evening with all the AmazinGrace planning people. Ate a lot, then there's still a lot of fattening ice cream... Then there's birthday celebrations at school too. I'm now the Geography rep in class, and newly-appointed "cake rep"... Yea, on Monday I bought this Oreo's Delight cake for Wei Kit's birthday, then last night after Swensen's I bought this Tiramisu cake from BreadTalk for Sam's and Kai Jie's (new classmates) birthday...
I miss the old A01 a lot. Just had a good long chat with Shih Ying the other day, and it just hit me how much I want the class to stay unseparated. And everytime I bump into people like Benny, Sheng-De etc, I just can't stop thinking of all the stuff we did back when we were a class together... I know that change is inevitable, but it's still saddening to think off all those wonderful moments...
Gotta shake off that old A01 inertia... Preserve the memories, and at the same time focus on what is ahead in the future...

Officially met our class-mates for the next 2 years... Yup, I'm still in 05A01, and Mr Leong is still our CT. Sara and Benny went to 05A02 cos they were humanities scholarship applicants, and everyone just basically split up to all the different Sciences classes... Quite miserable actually, considering that 7 people stayed in A01, and a lot of the new people in our class was from AJ in their first 3 months... And the proportion of males to females is skewed... 6 or 7 guys to 15 or 16 girls...
Anyway, when to Spotlight for the 3rd time in 2 weeks, but I think the Heeren record (5 times in a week) is more impressive... Haha... I was tasked to get ribbons for Greenlink, cos there's this Earth Week coming up. And suddenly, after like 3 months of inactivity, Greenlink suddenly has a lot of events coming up... Amazing... Oh, I submitted my application to join Library also. But now the trend for most "slacking students" is to drop all their CCA commitments, cos the PEARLS system is abolished already... Don't know whether if I'm rational or irrational to pick up another CCA...
And the school is forcing me to take Literature... Apparently I got into NJ by my own merit, so I have to adhere to college standards by taking 4 A Level subjects. WHAT A BUMMER... I was actually contented with 3 As, but now there's this whole issue with Lit when I'm not even interested in it...
We've got 2 previously-in-05A02 people that's now in A01, and they're wanting to switch back to their original class. And Sara and Benny also want to switch back to A01, so them and their friends in A02 made a whole big RARA hoohah by stating reasons and demanding to see teachers-in-charge of the class allocations... Quite rash behavior in my perspective, and there were lots of tears...
I'm feeling quite sad too... All my good friends are either in other colleges or in other classes...
40 Days of Purpose is starting this Sunday. Weng Yin came on Friday for the youth launch/connection party, and Dai Xuan (Yurong's friend in NJ, she's in Greenlink also) came too... All of us skipped the dance party, but I heard they played an April Fool's joke by stopping the party half-way through...
And, lastly, Happy Birthday to Cheryn and Keat Fu, birthday wishes tomorrow... And to Wei Kit on Monday...

Hmm... Orientation is over, but we've still got a dance party scheduled this Friday night. I'll sure love to go, but there's the Connection Party for the 40 Days of Purpose, so I'll give dancing a skip. Danced a lot with Weng Yin already, cos on Monday they scheduled us for 2 hours worth of mass dancing, then we were watching horrendously at this volunteer couple on stage dancing VIGOROUSLY... Scary...
Anyway, we're stuck in temporary OGs until next week, because the teachers are taking so long to sort and band us into our classes. Alex is in NJ now. So is Wei Ting... Met them around in school somewhere... Wore the full grey NJ uniform on Tuesday onwards, and everyone looked so dull... And I sat in through the whole day at school with millions of breaks everywhere because I'm not taking Literature or any Science subjects. Then I'm trying to busy myself preparing the materials for 40 Days, trying to schedule my time for certain "demanding" people, which include surprise visits and all... Haha...

I think I set a new personal record or something... Just realised that I've been to the Heeren for THREE times in THREE days... Yup. Tuesday was there before watching a movie at Cine, then I was there yesterday after orientation to go walk around with my school mates... And today? Skipped the morning sessions of the orientation with Sheng-de and Wei Kit and a whole big bunch of Chinese High guys... You guessed it. Went to town, went to HEEREN, thereby setting a new record of 3 Heeren visits in 3 days... Haha...
To go through orientation again, frankly speaking, is quite boring. Yesterday all the OGLs were trying to convince us to participate in the games, but our whole class (who stuck together in the same OG) sort of just ignored all of them. In the end, we went back to our classroom to enjoy aircon and bonding sessions before we all split up... And Weng Yin is still my default dance partner in mass dance!
Today was no better... Early in the morning, we got news that today is still not going to be class posting results announcement, so the whole RV gang disappeared... I went out of school too... Was at Kinokuniya the whole morning, browsing the entire design section with Sheng-de. We decided to go back to school later on, and along the way to the bus-stop, we were jaywalking across the road just outside Ngee Ann City, and Sheng-de got hit by a motor-bike that came out of nowhere... The fortunate thing was that he only got a bruise from the impact, but his phone's LCD screen is severly damaged...
Back at school, it was more aircon-ed classroom bonding, then danced some more with Weng Yin, switched partners and was dancing with Jie Xin... Even though the mass dance was still the same song and movements, I'm struggling to remember the movements... Aargh...
And the worst thing is, Linus and May Ee were unsuccessful in appealing back to NJ...
And to my "default dance partner", Weng Yin... Happy Birthday tomorrow... And it's Good Friday tomorrow too... And to my good pal Linus, Happy Birthday on Saturday...

WHEE!! I'm back in NJ Arts! But it's like very depressing, cos quite a few people are leaving the college, or they'll go over to Science and break up the original 05A01... The school called us back to school just to announce that there are no lessons today, that we're free to leave after checking the posting results... SO DUMB!! Anyway, we left school after confirming our places, went to town to walk around, caught a lame movie (Lemony Snickett's Series of Unfortunate Events), sat down at home and stone... Everybody's wishing that the whole class can stay together, but we all know that it's quite impossible. And everyone's so depressed over this whole issue... Sigh...

Friday, 18 March 2005
Okay, let's start from yesterday... It was the whole day at Sentosa for me... Brought a frisbee and a rubber ball there to play, but we lost the ball early in the morning... Haha, we were at the Southernmost part of the whatever Peninsular rubbish, then Wei Kit was kicking the ball around when the wind blew it into the open sea.
No choice, we ended up playing with the frisbee, Apri refused to run, then me and Edwin kept having our own mini frisbee toss... Then we had a "bio experiment" with the hermit crabs and molluses-in-a-shell by burying them in sand and water, then watching them wiggle free from all that slosh...
After the beach, we went for a budget lunch at 7-11 eating cup noodles. Then it was cycling time... We rented our bikes, cycled from the start of Siloso beach all the way to the end of it, then we cycled back to the start of Siloso beach again, crossed Palawan, turned about at Tanjong beach, then went halfway into Palawan beach again before turning around AGAIN to go up the slope of Allanbrooke Road. And here enters the thrill of Sentosa... Allanbrooke Road is the steep slope leading to the Dolphin Lagoon, so me, Edwin and Jia Mein were climbing the slope then going down at break-neck speed... WHOO... Controlling the bike was easier for me than Edwin and Jia Mein, cos the two of them were on tandem bikes as Jia Mein didn't know how to cycle...
Enough cycling, we went back to Siloso beach, May Ee arrived from whatever appointment she had, then we were playing by the fountain when Sheng-De slipped and fell... Next thing we knew he was having a very heavy nose-bleed, then the beach patrol had to rush down... It wasn't anything serious though, cos Sheng-De kept insisting that he was okay... Yup, we played some more frisbee, I went home early, sun burnt and tired limbs...
Today?? Okay, today was AmazinGrace, the actual day of the race after like 2 months of planning. Met at Jericho, then after all the contestants arrived (we had 4 teams of three), all the station masters (me included) rushed to our own respective stations. The clue to my station was "Auntie Molly Killed Katie's Fat Cat", which was essentially AMK KFC, where I sat there doing Econs revision and eating popcorn chicken for 4 hours... Well, 3 teams passed my station, due to the shortage of time... It was not that bad too... Kat and Uncle Vincent dropped by to do some filming, then later on Amelia Yeo and TAMMY and their friend came along... Haha, coincidentally, JEREMY and Coleman and Adriel were at my station at that time... Yes... Uh huh, Kay Kiat and his two friends emerged champions because they covered the most stations with the most right answers, then Aaron, Gerome and Justin was second. Yar, it was a great day...

Okay, I did quite a lot of travelling today, I guess... In the afternoon I was having lunch with my mum. After that I went to Spotlight to get some art supplies, then I took a bus back to Jericho... And at around 1700, I took another bus to town for dinner at NYDC with my classmates at NJ... And to top it off, I took another bus back to Jericho after that...
Yup, and coincidentally I took the same bus for all the trips to and fro... Yes, I was aboard bus 162 for four times today... Haha...
And how I wish, how I really wish I was a tree-branch... Haha... (:

Hmm, I'm feeling weird... I don't know how exactly to pinpoint this feeling, but all I can say is weird. Haha... Was at Kim Eng yesterday, which was this stockbroking firm at Suntec City... Quite fun actually... I wouldn't mind becoming a remisier in the future... And I'm still trying to jam the JAE website. Added like 5000 hits in the past two days, then Jia Mein was trying to flood the hugs counter on my blog... Yar, I can't think of anything else to do online anyway... Heeps... A few more days to go... Think I'm going to go nuts for the next week...
Saturday, 12 March 2005
Hmm... Just got confirmation from Chris that NJ's standards really did dropped. It was always in the top five, but this time we're 7th... No wonder the principal didn't give us a half-day or whatsoever. And now it's like almost certain that I'll be in NJ instead of AJ or anywhere else...
Had close to 2 hours of Captain's Ball yesterday during PE... Everyone was jumping everywhere and trying to catch passes and trying to intercept the long throws and throwing and screaming... Having the most fun we could possibly have before people switch schools, or go to Science... After school, we hopped down for more ice cream, and as far as I could remember, I think it was the first time so many people filled up the seats in Estivo's...
Then it was another frantic rush down to Jericho for preparation of the AmazinGrace... We're like mostly prepared, but we need more people to participate...
And I miss the warm feeling... The warming of your heart so great that you just feel like melting...

Everything's as it should be... Went IKEA after school yesterday with Sheng-de to go window-shopping. I saw tonnes of stuff that I would definitely love to have, but they're all going to cost me a lot though... Sigh... Then in school the teachers are all away on some course, or they're down with SYF rehearsals, so we get a lot of free periods here and there... I can't find anything else to do online, so I went down to the JAE Application website for fun. Well, if you go there, you'll find this "hits counter", which have seen like 1.4 million hits so far. And, just for the kick of it, I tried to cause a massive jam on the website... Haha, the thing with Mozilla is that they allow this tabs thingy, so I'm able to add 5 hits each time I click refresh. And after a while, the website just jammed. Pathetic.

I brought THREE different people to NJ this week... Haha... Yurong and Clarissa came to crash on Wednesday, then it was Jun Rong's turn on Thursday. And it turned out that my Civics Tutor was Yurong's previous teacher at FMSS... What a small world after-all...
They just shifted the JAE application deadline to Monday. Darn, if I had known, I might have registered later... But it doesn't really make any difference anyway... It's either stay in NJ, or go join Clarissa at AJ... Skipped double GP on Thursday to go down to AJ to ask for their subject combinations... They have my combi, but they don't have Jia Mein's... And suddenly a lot of Cat High guys are appealing to NJ through the soccer team...
And yes... I'll be the one to ask you the question first the next time I see you... Haha...

I had no school today, cos NJ decided to let us off for one day after the results are released... Anyway, I was at town again, with my classmates to go watch Howl's Moving Castle. Eh, the movie was captivating, wish it was Moving Palace or some other name though... Eh, okie, we went home after that, I got caught in a traffic jam cos a bus broke down just opposite corps... After dinner, I decided to register for the JAE... Put NJ Arts first choice, then AJ Arts. The rest of the 10 options I just filled in rubbish, because even if I can't make it to NJ, I'll be at AJ.
Stupidly depressed now. I'm okay with my results. I'm satisfied with it, but the thing is you've gotta keep being sensitive to other people's feelings. Wish everyone would just stop thinking about results, and focus on the better parts of life... Oh well...
