NJC Road Run 2005... Well, at least I found out that I could still run... I don't know, I seemed to be able to run faster and more consistently during the PE practice, and I could keep up with Khairi when I went on a trial run with me last Monday... But yesterday, I ended up lagging to the middle of the pack... I was walking/jogging with Linus, who developed stitches with me at the same time... Yup, Shahdan (aka National soccer U-18 player) got FIRST for the Year One Guys, then Shi En got THIRD for Year One Girls... Bragging rights of 05A01... Haha...

Anyway, just came back from Jericho Insights:inside meeting with Ben and Yurong... I was having lunch with Yurong before that, then we went for a recce for the AmazinGrace that we're planning... Yep, it's a direct borrowing from the FCBC one... Haha, don't sue us for copyright infringement, cos we'll include you in the credits...

Wednesday, 26 January 2005

Whoo! I'm back from school... Yar, well, duh... Anyway, today was the SD day for all the lessons that I had... GP class was super boring, I couldn't understand a single concept during Econs lecture... Sheesh, sometimes I wonder why I even bother to register into a JC for my first three months, when I could be happily slacking away... Never mind that, other than that, I had a class picnic at the canteen, and my civics tutor Mr Leong bought us this nice "Lana cake" (whatever that was... The cake's chocolate) and I had fun eating up all the Nutella-spreaded bread...

After school, me, Linus and Weng Yin went down to Queensway to get wristbands. The initial idea was to standardise a colour so that each of our classmates will have one of those "baller-id" thingy... But all the shops we checked there all went out of stock, so in the end only the three of us got a "3-in-a-pack-but-differrent-colours" wristbands. There was white, yellow and maroon. All three of us wanted the yellow one, and Linus refused point-blank to accept the maroon one... What to do? We did a unseen lucky-draw, and I ended up with the yellow one... Haha...

Yippee!! I went to crash AJC after school today with Jia Mein... Not bad actually, cos we were so afraid of getting caught by the auntie sitting down there in front of the gate, but she didn't even stop to notice us sneak in. Then we mingled around, saw quite a few of all my old friends, etc... Yup, I saw Alex too, and he had to "remind" me again that his birthday was tomorrow... Haha, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEX-O DUDE... Anyway, I had some bonding time with my old 4-5 classmates, stayed around long enough to see Alex get splat with cake by his class, before going home...

Thursday, 20 January 2005

I was feeling sick last night... Headache and a slight cold, but I'm feeling better now. Late school days on Thursdays, so I only need to leave house in another hour's time.

I'm busied out by the Jericho Insights:Inside thingy... There's a lot of admin stuff to do, and worse, interim coordinating... There's like a million things going on at the same time, and I don't even know what I should focus on first.

Received some really meaningful emails that just made my life a lot more happy and cheerful... And worthwhile...

Hmm, I just viewed my class photos... There's some seriously weird ones about me... My class-mates locked me out of class yesterday, then I had to go hug our OGL Jun Yi before they let me in... And I'm Molly Gwendolyn, if you'll believe me...

Saturday, 15 January 2005

Okie, here's the lowdown so far:~ School as per normal, with Bush and Carson crashing into NJ on Wednesday or Thursday, I can't remember... Sheng De was forced into a CHIJ pinafore yesterday, and he had to sit through the entire Econs tutorial looking absolutely ridiculous. Wilfred unexpectedly came over for youth service last night... He's been working at Chek Haw's father's jewellery shop earning a decent thousand plus plus... PE at school in two consecutive days. My muscles are aching badly. I'm 165 cm and 51 kg, as of 13012005. I'm too short and too light.. Gotta grow upwards more and grow heavier... =D

Wednesday, 12 January 2005

I have no idea why, but I'm starting to feel quite tired lately. I'm sleeping enough hours everyday, but I don't sleep well...
Life at NJ is not exactly stressful, but then again it's partly because it's still the first 3 months and all that stuff. We started on all the tutorials and lectures from this week onwards... Can't say much about the lessons, but the teachers are highly interesting. We've got an extremely comical Maths teacher, we've got the level head for GP, and everyone had mixed opinions about our civics tutor... That's mostly stuff from school... And I'm looking forward to the day when Sheng-De is going to be dressed in a SCGS uniform!! Haha...

Other than that, I'm busy planning all kinds of rubbish. Okay, for all you people reading this, there will be a "Insights : Inside" at Jericho for two consecutive Friday nights, then there'll be activities planned in the March holidays and on Good Friday... Yup, I'll really need to manage my time well this few months...

On the verge of developing a sore throat. Nutseed just finished her first full packet of sunflower seeds. Gonna doze off soon...

Friday, 7 January 2005

Okie, today was an extremely long day... It was the last day of JC Orientation, so they had in line a barbeque session and dance party, which lasted all the way until 2100. Yup, it was funky of course... A few people were in some hip-hop dance group orsomething, and their moves were synchronised and AWESOME... Yup, my class is quite funky too... We have our own Taufik and Maia, and everyone is always laughing or smiling at Sheng-De (this comical blur-blur guy)... And the amazing thing is, we all clicked well right from the start... Anyway, after the dance party, I rushed back down to corps for cell, which I promised Dora that I'd be there, but that crazy nut wasn't there. Pooh... Pretty soon I'll be taking over Ben's cell and merging my cell with Biru's... Long story cut chort, me and Biru are now co-cell leaders.

Tuesday, 4 January 2005

Hmm... My orientation in NJC wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be... Turned out that some of my former 2-6 buddies back in Catholic High were there for first 3 months too. But I'm practically alone in my class, cos only Yuxuan was the other ex-CH in our Arts class... It's quite fun actually. There's mass dances sessions which I'm always trying not to step on the girl's toes... There's a lot of cheers going on and everyone is cheering all the time... There's some cool dudes and really really outgoing people in my class, which just makes interaction a lot more friendly... Yup. I've got 5 days of orientation in total, and it doesn't look as if I'll disintegrate there. In fact, I just might survive... Only nut is the 45-minute traffic jam every morning, but Sarah claims it'll be better after the first few weeks. We'll see...

School ends like 1700 each day. By the time I reached home, I'm dead tired. I'm constantly feeling as though something is missing in my life... Oh well...

Saturday, 1 January 2005

WAHOO!! It's a whole new year ahead of me, and the start of 2005!!

Yup, I had a rather indifferent celebration to the New Year this year... Last night (New Year's Eve) I was at Bishan Park with Coleman and Andre and Cheryn and Felix, playing sparklers and candles and setting up a small fire... Well, the crappy thing was two NParks people came over to us and warned us not to start any fires and stuff. It's a national park, so what can you expect?? So me, being the oldest of the group there, I had to surrender some of my particulars on the spot as a warning... Sheesh... Anyway, they were just doing their job, and they were diplomatic about it, so I'll just make sure the next time I'm burning something at the park again, I must have someone older than me... Haha...

I just came back from a trip to my new school... I've never been to NJC before, so me and my parents went on a bus trip there to familiarise myself with the surroundings... It's not too difficult, but the bus trip took 25 minutes. Yar... That's about it. And I changed the music again... VERTIGO!! Yea boy, U2 totally rocks...

Thursday, 30 December 2004

Nothing much happened these past few days... I'm either at home, or I'm somewhere around in Bishan. Like what Luke would always complain about me, I'm "like a hermit stuck in the Bishan shell"... Haha, not really. Went down to Sentosa's beaches with a few friends to play beach soccer in the rain... Came back with sores and bruises and scratches and blisters on my toes... Ouchie... Nutseed is driving me nuts, cos it's eating five hundred thousand sunflower seeds everyday. And yup, New Year's coming. Suddenly everyone that I know of is starting to rush all their holiday homework... While for ME, I'm sitting down here completely relaxed, looking forward to new school days... But what crap, even though I don't have homework, people are still asking me for help in their homework. Worse still, ask me do their "brainless Maths homework", but turned out to be a nerve-wrecking tedious work... Grr...

Monday, 27 December 2004

I've got a new life to take care of now... Andre and Coleman and Felix and Cheryn "ganged up" together to give me a hamster for Christmas... Oh well, the hamster was named Nutseed, because it's basic diet consisted only of nuts and sunflower seeds. It refuses to eat anything else.

Saturday, 25 December 2004

It's the time of the year for Christmas again. I don't know... I am NOT looking forward to Christmas-es anymore, especially when I received some bad news on Christmas last year... Well, not to say I'm not celebrating it at all, cos I know Christ was borned on this day to die for our sins and stuff. It's just my personal phobia that something bad will happen again...

Um, anyway, this festive period was okay so far. For one thing, I managed to convince Yicheng to come for the Christmas Musical. I haven't followed up with him yet, but he seemed interested in the whole musical thing... For another thing, this year's Christmas party was much much better than last year's. I ended up involved in the planning again for the second year in a row, and became the "unofficial lead" for the worship. The whole worship was quite abrupt, cos I was entering and exiting all the songs anywhere and everywhere... The treasure hunt was also surprisingly fun, even though it seemed messy and hectic... Most of all, the response and enthusiasm was G-O-O-D...

I don't know what I'm supposed to be feeling right now... Puzzled? Relieved? Calm? Frustrated? I guess I'll just settle for mixed feelings... Well, it takes a lot for me to trust people, and even if I do, there's always still a stumbling block somewhere. Communication was never an option to me. I had to FORCE IT to become an obligation... Sorry if I chose not to divulge much of my personal thoughts, but I couldn't force myself to do it... What can I say?? I'm learning... I'm still learning... It's going to take some time, and a lot of hard work...

Tuesday, 21 December 2004

Whee... I'm so proud of myself. I actually managed to do some shopping on my own!! Haha, I know it's only shopping, but you must know that I normally cannot get any shopping done ON MY OWN, unless there's someone like my mum who'll drag me around... So yup! I managed all my Christmas shopping on my own this time round, except for one or two single souls whom I've yet to got a present for them yet... But of course, a lot of the gifts were like "what should I get for this person??" Then after half an hour of aimless shopping, I'll "just buy the first bird I spot"...

Sunday, 19 December 2004

I'm feeling very sickly now... I'm hit with a terrible bout of diarrhoea for the past few night. Goodness knows what I ate, but I'm really crapping the toiet like nuts... And if I'm not in the toilet, then I'll be spotting a stomachache for most of the time. Ugh...

I got posted to NJC, Arts course, for my first three months next year. The guys at MOE put me through straight to NJC on my first choice, and yup, I'm contented enough... Other than that, I'm still bogged down with Christmas activities... I'm supposed to be the unofficial-interim-in-charge of the planning of Christmas Eve activities, but I'm not really up to doing anything... Chicken... And I've still not done my Christmas shopping with less than a week to go... And I'm still short on cash. It's going to be horrible for the next few days for me. And all I wish for my Christmas now is to stop this nonsensical and untimely diarrhoea...

Thursday, 16 December 2004

Yes, it's another one of those moments when I'm still awake even though it's past midnight already... Um, I DID try to sleep earlier, but I ended up tossing and turning on my bed so much that I gave up trying to sleep...

Let's see, today was the table soccer tournament at Jericho. Yup, I made it all the way to the semi-finals, but I only settled for 4th. And needless to say, Yurong and I killed off all our opponents in the doubles pairing to emerge unbeatable again!! MUAHAHAHA... Haha, I would definitely love to describe every single detail of the tournament, but I'm not in the right mood now. Table soccer has reduced me to an EXTREMELY TIRED state, my arms are aching, my eyes are sliding out of focus everywhere I try to focus... I call this the "table-soccer hangover" syndrome... Anyway, I promised Kathryn that I'll write a report / account of today's tournament for the Jericho website, so I think I'll fill in the details in that report / account instead... Go read it at the Jericho website when it's ready. =D

I've gotta start my Christmas shopping soon. But the major problem is, as always, FINANCE... I definitely won't be able to spend money on presents for everyone, cos this year I forgot to save up for Christmas shopping. No choice, I'll only be giving presents to my family and special friends only. So if you're expecting a present from me this Christmas, don't. And yar, I've updated some details of my blog as well... It's good to keep this site in tandem and in relevance to whatever is happening in my life now...

Saturday, 11 December 2004

Hmm... At least I'm not slacking a lot this week, unlike the previous weeks where I've been an absolute lazy bum... Yup, I went out shoppinga couple of times, been to J8 3 times this week, been all the way down to Sun Plaza at Sembawang which was so uninteresting... Yar, the rest of my time is spent online, earning money by the thousands on Neopets, or I'll be fighting Pokemon on Pokemon Crater. My life seriously needs some kick, or else I'll be hooked on all these lame online games targeted for KIDS...

Yawn. I had a good night's sleep last night. Instead of service/cell last night, we were gone to invite people and distribute postcards about the Christmas musical around the neighbourhood... Was assigned to the same block of apartments as Jericho's block. Gosh, out of the many times that Cheryn and me were ringing the dorrbells, only FOUR apartments opened the door for us... Sheesh, guess that they're just not that friendly...

And yes, the music is changed again. It's a Kutless song.

Tuesday, 7 December 2004

Brr... I'm feeling very cold now. Been raining almost non-stop for the past 2 days already, and I'm really shivering... Uh huh. I was at Changi Airport yesterday with Yicheng, sending off Luke, Fred and Alex to Indonesia on a holiday to Basuki's hometown. The airport thermometers were registering 22.2°C outside, but it was definitely colder with the air-con inside... And Yichy was late, so I was waiting/shivering at the spacious Changi Airport MRT for 20 minutes... Funny thing was, all three of them who are flying off all wore checker-ed shirts, so it was kinda funny to see them in a common checker-ed dress-code checking in at the counter. Haha...

I'm also feeling very fortunate and honoured now. (wink!) Oh well, sometimes as time goes by, you really learn to appreciate the stuff that God has put in your life, and I can't say how much more fortunate and honoured I am right now...

Um, yar... I'm not really up to much nowadays. Since there's nothing to do, I'm back to playing Neopets again. Yar, it's lame, but it's fun to earn money and grow rich... I've got more than 100,000 NP now after playing for one week. Eh, and Felix is bugging me to change the song back to Powerpuff Girls... Ooooooooo-kie... I will in another week or so... =D

Saturday, 4 December 2004

Hmm... A lot of stuff are happening right now. I don't really know how to deal with them, and I'm going to take one step at a time. Interesting-ly enough, most of the events happening aren't happening to ME, but to all my good friends... Sigh... I'm getting really worried for all of them. Take care, all you people... While me, I'm going to take care of myself first. Top on the list is to eat and sleep well. Second, shower all my friends with loads of love.

Changed the quackie music. Go listen to it yourself.

Monday, 29 November 2004

WHOO!! I just came back from the Graduation Dinner. Quite fun, especially all the " saboh" of all the teachers and your own class-mates... Everyone was dressed smartly too, with Vincent looking most like a cowboy. Luke looked like this female model with some chic designers clothes, Yichy got one of those kind of boardroom meeting coats, then everyone else were nice-looking in shirts and pants... And quite a few people turned coloured hair as well. Yup, it was fun... Shao Hong kissed Mrs Pang again, the food was good, the atmosphere was good... Uh huh, then me and Alex sort of ditched them all behind to go home early... Haha...

Very tired. Wanna sleep.

Saturday, 27 November 2004

I know that I'm supposed to be asleep by now, even more especially so when I promised someone that I'll be in bed at this hour. But, and I repeat, but, circumstances permit. By a twist of cosmic fate, (not really actually) I am still awake now, so may I extend my apologies to the person I made the promise to... *wink*

Yup. Like I mentioned earlier, a twist of cosmic fate. Let me try and explain it... Tomorrow night will be my Graduation Dinner all the way down at Meritus Mandarin Singapore, (a more classier way of saying "Mandarin Hotel") and it's probably going to be the last time my entire class will sit together for an occasion for the rest of this year. And since I promised my class to give them each a copy of the class directory with everyone's contact details on it, tomorrow's going to be last time I would be able to pass it to them. So, brilliant me decided to sit down in front of the computer to print out 30 copies of th eclass directory. But the story didn't end there. I printed the 30 copies without taking into consideration of certain updates, for instance, Isaac's postal code was missing, and Bush shifted house etc... And so, brilliant me again sat down to call them individually to ask for their updates and changes, then brilliant me went to each and every printed copy to amend the changes... Hence for most of the time, I was alternating between liquid-paper and pen for 30 times... And things are certainly not helping when dumb ol' Alex has an extremely weird email address. His email addy consisted of so many underscores in so many different places in his name, it had me cancelling again and again... Look at this: " a__l_e_x "... Try writing it out on a piece of paper. Then try writing it 30 times. Somewhere in between you're sure to make some errors with the placement of the underscores and stuff... AARGH!!

I made my choice for first 3 months' JC enrolment today also. I put NJC and AJC as my first few choices, then I anyhow filled in the rest... I don't really care anyway. Either I make it to NJC or AJC, or I'll just end up whallowing and biting the dust in some other JCs that I don't really have plans to go into...

And yup, that's about all of it. I'm having loads of fun nowadays. From insulting people with obscure English, to lots of "moo moo"-s and to top-grade honey... Whatever... I'm just having loads of fun.
